Enduring Powers of Attorney in Victoria

Currently it is estimated that 1 per cent of the population has some form of dementia. This is expected to rise to 2.8% by 2050. Given these statistics, it is important that clients consider putting in place powers of attorney to ensure they determine who makes decisions and how in the event of their incapacity.
In Victoria we have three different pieces of legislation dealing with decision making on incapacity - enduring power of attorney (financial), enduring power of attorney (medical) and an appointment of enduring guardians.
