The administration of justice does not exist in a vacuum: static, sterile and unaffected by external change. The law is dynamic. Its administration must reflect that dynamism, or it will risk descent into arbitrary and ignorant application. Only through the acceptance and appreciation of change by we who are concerned with the law can it remain relevant and responsive to the needs of those it is intended to aid.
