Recent Changes to Victoria's Tax Laws

The Victorian Government has made many changes to state revenue laws in recent times. This event covered the following:
- abolition of duty for first home buyers
- off the plan concession reduced
- narrowing of the transfer between spouses concession
- introduction of the vacant residential property tax
- valuations to be undertaken annually for land tax purposes
- changes to subsale provisions, which came into force on 1 July 2017.
