Christopher Wallis
Chris Wallis, CTA, Barrister and Accredited Mediator has over 35 years in practice. Chris’ has earned reputation for achieving satisfactory outcomes for clients in long and difficult disputes with revenue authorities by doing the “hard yards” and without having his clients enter the witness box. Day to day Chris’ work involves working with practitioners to fend off the TPB; SMSF members/directors to fend off the Regulator; and family lawyers and accountants in a relationship breakdown to trace assets and identify tax exposures. Chris provides easily read and comprehensive advice in relation to trusts or real property and is a regularly published author. Over 35 years Chris has delivered more than 150 presentations around Australia for the various professional bodies, the Australasian Tax Teachers Association, the Television Education Network, the Tax Bar Association, and the late Gordon Cooper’s Problems in Practice. - Current at 23 July 2024Keith James CTA
Keith is a Consultant at Hall and Wilcox within the Taxation group. He has been a key figure in the tax advisory profession for many years. Keith was a member of the original Breakfast Club organising committee, and was actively involved in its development for many years. From 2004, Keith was a member of the Board of Taxation for 10 years and during the last four he was the Deputy Chair of the Board. His involvement has also extended to Chairman of the Public Accountants Committee, Victorian President, National Councillor, Chairman of the Taxation Centre of Excellence and member of the National Tax Advisory Committee for CPA Australia. For many years Keith was a member of The Tax Institutes Victorian and National Education Committees. In October 2008, he was awarded a Meritorious Service Award by the Institute. Neil is a Director of Earle and Company Pty Ltd Chartered Accountants, Camberwell, Victoria. Neil has over 30 years experience advising a wide range of businesses and individuals on taxation and business matters, particularly in the SME tax and accounting area of public practice. Neil was the National President of the Taxation Institute from March 2004 to March 2005.
