Author profiles
Melinda Watson
Melinda worked as a Solicitor specialising in Banking and Finance prior to joining OSR. Since joining the Queensland OSR in 1997, Melinda has held a wide range of positions including Legal Officer, Senior Training Officer, Manager Technical Advice Branch and, presently Director, Policy & Legislation Division. She also recently took on a key role as Manager in the legislative team responsible for the drafting of the Duties Act 2001. She has extensive knowledge of the new legislation, particularly in relation to more complex commercial transactions. Melinda has responsibility for leading the Policy Legislation Division (which also includes the Legal Branch and the Administrative Policy Branch). - Current at 09 June 2005Liam Cooke
Liam Cooke is a Deputy Commissioner leading the Taxes, Revenue and Grants group with QRO. With over 40 years experience in state tax and grants administration, Liam is an experienced senior executive across large scale operational client-facing and audit functions, including successful delivery of significant ICT revenue projects. - Current at 26 May 2025
