Tax scheme promoter penalties - how widely will the net be cast?

In a press release issued on 5 December 2003, the Minister for Revenue and Assistant Treasurer, Senator Helen Coonan, announced that the Government intends to introduce measures, including a new civil penalty regime, to deter the promotion of tax avoidance and tax evasion schemes.
