Jemma Sanderson, CTA, is a Director of Cooper Partners Financial Services, heading up their SMSF specialist services. Jemma provides strategic advice on SMSFs, estate planning and wealth management to clients, as well as technical support and consultancy to accounting, legal and financial planning groups. Jemma has over 20 years’ experience and is a regular presenter on superannuation and SMSFs for the professional bodies across the country, and is the author of The Tax Institute’s popular publication for SMSF Advisers, the SMSF Guide, in its ninth edition. Hoa Wood is the Deputy Commissioner Private Wealth – Behaviours of Concern (ATO). Hoa leads a business line that drives innovative holistic solutions to address deliberate, systemic, or complex behavioural issues that pose the biggest threats to the integrity of the tax, super and registry systems. The newly formed stream focuses on the highest risk taxpayers, promoters and facilitators who deliberately attempt to circumvent and exploit the tax and superannuation system. With over 20 years of experience in tax administration in both the ATO and the Treasury, Hoa has previously been responsible for tax compliance in the individuals not in business client segment; engagement with the tax profession and as Deputy Chief Tax Counsel focussed on superannuation and indirect tax issues. - Current at 11 August 2023
