This presentation covers an update from the ATO on industry’s progression in the Justified Trust program and the ATO’s perspectives around fund tax governance.

Nadia Alfonsi
Nadia Alfonsi is an Assistant Commissioner in the Public Groups (PG) business line of the ATO. As part of her role, Nadia has responsibility for the PG Superannuation Risk and Strategy team which includes oversight over large APRA regulated superannuation funds and managed funds. Nadia is also responsible for PG Engagement and Assurance teams managing a range of taxpayer engagement activities including tax assurance reviews of Top 100 and Top 1000 taxpayers. Nadia has previously held a number of roles across the ATO including Superannuation & Employer Obligations, Tax Counsel Network and the Treasury. - Current at 17 August 2023Andrew Grace
Andrew Grace is a Program Director in the Superannuation Risk and Strategy team in the Public Groups (PG) business line of the ATO. Andrew joined in the ATO in 2003 and has worked with the superannuation industry in different roles since 2007 in PG and works closely with business lines across the ATO that support the superannuation industry with issues ranging from income tax on contributions and investments, law design and member reporting issues. - Current at 24 October 2025Blake Sly
Blake Sly is a Senior Director in the Public Groups Private Equity Branch of the ATO which has oversight of the Private Equity, Collective Investment Vehicle (CIV), Infrastructure and Foreign Fund Strategy teams and the CIV Top 1000 assurance team. Blake has previously held a number of roles across the ATO including Senior Director Investment Industry Strategy which included oversight over insurance companies, large APRA regulated superannuation funds and managed investment funds and Director roles in PG Strategy and PG Engagement and Assurance. - Current at 06 March 2024
