Duncan McCarthy
Duncan is a Director in the ATO Risk Strategy team where he works on the Financial Reporting and Analysis project. The project aims to drive pre-lodgement compliance by incorporating bulk accounting and event driven data (e.g. ASX announcements) into the ATO’s risk identification processes. Duncan led the external consultation of the ATO Tax Risk Management and Governance Review guide published in June 2015. He subsequently led the development and consultation of the updated guide published in January 2017 which included Self-Assessment procedures and a Director’s Summary. Duncan worked at PwC as an audit manager in the financial services division before joining the ATO in 2014 as part of the Audit and Accounting Specialist Group. - Current at 23 November 2017
