Richard Buchanan CTA
Richard is a partner at EY and specialises in the tax aspects of major transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure and property projects. He regularly provides advice through the life cycle of the transaction, including funding, structuring, due diligence, documentation negotiation and post-acquisition integration. Richard’s role in infrastructure transactions can vary from advising bidding consortiums, representing lending syndicates, advising vendors and representing equity in a consortium. - Current at 29 May 2019

Cristina Wolters CTA
Cristina Wolters, CTA, has over 25 years’ experience with Australian corporate taxation and has headed the taxation function at Transurban, a triple stapled, top 20 ASX listed company with operations in Australia and in North America, for over 15 years. Cristina joined Transurban to implement their tax function and has since overseen the tax structuring of the Group’s many acquisitions and divestments. She leads a team of senior tax professionals and is responsible for all Transurban’s global tax matters including risk and governance. Currently, Cristina is on secondment as the General Manager Finance for Transurban Queensland. Cristina has a Master of Taxation from the University of Melbourne and a Senior Executive MBA from the Melbourne Business School, is a member of Chartered Accountants ANZ, a CTA of The Tax Institute and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is a member and Deputy Chair of the Infrastructure Partnerships Australia Tax Taskforce, and a member of The Tax Institute Victorian State Council. Cristina is also a Board Member and Deputy Chair at Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre, Victoria’s state-wide first response service for women, young people and children experiencing family violence. - Current at 18 June 2023
