Nick Oliver
Nick is a Senior Tax Counsel with the ATO in Adelaide. As a member of the Tax Counsel Network he has been involved with a wide variety of public rulings, litigation and tax law development work, including some of the small business measures. He has specialised in R&D issues since 1998 and has practised in that area to the present day. He has been an ATO member of the Tax Office's General Anti-avoidance Rules Panel since 2007. - Current at 12 September 2011Paul Van Bergen
Paul is a specialist R&D tax partner with KPMG and heads its R&D practice in Sydney. He has extensive experience in providing both private and public sector clients with technical advice in relation to all types of R&D and Government Grants and Incentives. - Current at 12 September 2011Jamie Munday
Jamie is a Partner in the R&D team at Ernst & Young. Jamie has over 18 years experience in providing specialised taxation consulting advice on the R&D Tax Concession and government grants. He has continual contact with AusIndustry and has prepared and commented on discussion papers involving the R&D Tax Concession on behalf of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, and the Australian Society of CPAs. Jamie has also been involved in Senate Hearings into R&D Tax Concessions. Jamie is a Member of the joint R&D, AusIndustry and ATO Consultative Group. - Current at 12 September 2011Karen Stein
Karen is a specialist R&D Tax Partner, leading the Deloitte NSW R&D practice. Karen has over 20 years’ experience assisting corporates with securing R&D funding opportunities. This includes advising on the R&D Tax Concession and Offset programs. Karen also assists companies with ATO and AusIndustry reviews and audits, development of R&D Project Plans, development of innovation programs, R&D Tax Concession and Offset Claims, and Grant Applications. Karen has been actively involved in the consultation process surrounding the new Tax Incentive Program. - Current at 12 September 2011David Wilson
David is the General Manager, Research Development & Venture Capital Branch of AusIndustry. David has over 20 years’ experience in research and development including as an Adviser to the Chief Defence Scientist on capability management, and being responsible for over $2 billion in funding for public sector research facilities.
