Suzanne is a senior manager in the indirect tax team at KPMG. She has over 15 years' experience in indirect taxes, in both Europe and Australia, including nearly 10 years in the in-house tax team at the Royal Bank of Scotland plc. She began her career at HM Revenue and Customs Solicitor's Office in the UK, and specialised in VAT litigation prior to moving into practice. She is admitted as a solicitor in two UK jurisdictions, and is a Chartered Tax Adviser, and has worked in global law firms in London and Edinburgh, as well as two accountancy practices and in industry. She has advised many clients across all business sectors - property, retail, insurance, oil and gas, energy, IT and public sector and not-for-profit. She has a particular expertise in the financial services sector in both Australia and the UK, including many pension funds and investment managers, international banks, credit unions and other financial service and insurance providers in relation to complex VAT and GST issues for financial transactions, and managed high profile litigation cases for these financial services clients and investment managers. - Current at 01 September 2016
