Jonathon Leek
Jonathon Leek, CTA is a Partner at Deloitte Legal and leads the Perth Practice. He is a solicitor and barrister with almost 25 years of experience gained in Sydney and Perth, including 18 years as a partner in leading law firms and as a barrister at the independent bar. Jonathon has extensive knowledge and experience of advising on mergers and acquisitions in the public and private spheres. He is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Western Australia where he lectures in postgraduate tax law and coordinates the units on “Advanced Australian Corporate Tax” and “Tax Dispute Resolution”. Jonathon is a member of the Tax Institute’s WA State Council and chair of its WA Technical Committee. He has been recognised as one of Australia’s leading tax lawyers in a number of client and peer surveys over many years, including Best Lawyers, Chambers Guide and the International Tax Review. - Current at 17 January 2018James Galati FTI
James is a Senior Associate at Deloitte Legal in Perth. He is a lawyer with 7 years’ experience with a particular focus on tax dispute resolution, complex tax advisory work (across both Federal and State taxes), and general commercial work. James works with clients in a broad range of industries from large Australian and multinational corporations to high wealth individuals and family groups. James graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2013 with a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws, and from the University of Sydney in 2020 with a Master of Laws. - Current at 24 September 2020
